Ski Vacations in Red River, New Mexico
Author: admin
Red River, New Mexico is home to one of the most popular ski resorts in the United States, and has been for many decades. The resort offers six chair lifts and one surface lift, and the trails are equally divided for beginners, intermediates, and experts.
Top elevation at Red River is 10354 feet, and the vertical drop down the face of the mountain is 1601 feet. Unfortunately, it doesn’t snow much, and about 85% of the powder is man made. There are 58 trails scattered over 247 acres. Red River is called the ’ski town of the Southwest.’
The resort has three restaurants, all of which offer fabulous fare. Lodging can be obtained in cabins, chalets, inns, or private condominiums in the area, and many lodging packages, as well as ski packages are available through Red River Central Reservations. Red River also offers snow pass rates which allow children to ski for free, and teens to ski at reduced rates. This is a great way to save money on your family ski vacation.
Red River also has a ski school, and group lessons and private lessons are available. Even if you’ve never skied before, you will quickly be on the slopes after your lessons. There are even lessons for snowboarders, who are welcome on the Red River slopes. You can also rent all of your ski and snowboarding equipment for very reasonable rates.
The nightlife in Red River is also great. After a day on the slopes, you can kick back and relax at the lodge, or visit one of the taverns in the area. For the younger crowd, there is a great game room located right in the center of the town. One of the great things about Red River is that everything is within walking distance of the lodging areas, and shuttles are provided for transportation to and from the slopes.
You can also enjoy taking scenic chairlift rides, hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, snow-mobiling, and hunting. You can even take one of the jeep tours to go see the abandoned gold mines in the area. So, even if you don’t ski, there is still plenty of fun to be had at Red River Ski Resort.
Childcare is available while you spend your day on the slopes. Your child will be well tended at the Li’l Buckaroos Child Care Facility, and the center provides lunch for your child as well. At Red River, everything has been thought of and taken care of to ensure that your ski vacation is as enjoyable as possible.

Control rats and mice for the long term without using traps and poisons, Ultrasonic Rodent Repeller. PestChaser emits high-frequency sound waves between 32 and 62 kHz that humans, cats, dogs, and birds cannot hear, but make rodents very uncomfortable and cause them to leave the area. Plug into a standard 110-volt outlet. The ultrasonic sound waves cannot travel from room to room, so a PestChaser is needed for each room to make them rodent free. The rodents become disoriented when you first start using a PestChaser, so you may see more activity initially than normal. You should see decreased rodent activity in 6-10 days. Single unit. USA made. NOTE: Not for sale in New Mexico, U.S. Territories or International. Pest Management, Wildlife Control, Rodent Control

Which are the best cities to take vacations in mexico? And what places do you recommend to visit?
Good answers, thanks, but i have read too much about beaches. Please giveme more options.
It definitely depends on your own interests.
Mexico City is simply fabulous for anybody with an interest in culture, the arts, history, or urban sophistication. The city boasts more than 100 excellent museums and they have hundreds of hotels in every price and level. I love long weekends in Mexico City because I can eat like a king, see masterpieces of the art world, and stay in 5-star hotels like the Four Seasons for less than the cost of a Holiday Inn Express in New York City.
Puerto Vallarta is one of my favorite beach resort cities. I love its sense of tradition and heritage and I love its enormous variety of resort styles, with big mega hotels for the folks who like that and intimate boutique hotels in the old city for people with particular tastes. You can even totally escape the package vacation tourist mentality by throwing your duffel in a panga launch and motoring across the bay to Yelapa where there’s funky little open air hotels and a mellow “anything goes” attitude.
Cancun has the best beach in Mexico though, no doubt about it. Powdery white sand, brilliantly clear turquoise waters, a huge range of resort hotels, and an infinite variety of activities keep people coming back.
Morelia is a fabulous choice for the traveler who wants to experience “the real Mexico”. It’s a small city, so it’s not intimidating to the first time visitor, but it’s got some wonderful colonial-era architecture downtown and a wealth of history and culture (far more than such a small city has a right to). There are excellent hotels downtown as cheap as $30 a night, and plenty charging more, if you want to pay more.
Veracruz is one of the many urban gems that most American visitors don’t seem to even really know about (though it’s popular with Mexican tourists). They have a wonderful downtown area with a lively waterfront scene and a magnificent old Spanish fort that once protected the city from marauding pirates (and that served as the set for the scenes at the end of “Romancing the Stone”, which wasn’t actually shot in Colombia).
Guadalajara can be a wonderful urban adventure as well and it too has a remarkable colonial-era downtown, a great arts tradition, mariachi music, and train trips every weekend out to the town of Tequila (gee, wonder what folks would go there to drink…)
These are just the tip of the iceberg. For every one I named, I overlooked 10 magnificent places.
Have fun!
Mark

Mail this postHelpful Ideas to Have An Enjoyable Family Vacation
Author: admin
Vacations can spell enjoyment and stress at the same time. The time of planning, booking and hazards of trips are just few troubles one may encounter along the way. Nevertheless, one should consider enjoying and the fun side of it rather than divulge on the pressure that can ruin all the plans and preparation.
Family vacation requires a lot of preparation considering that you should satisfy your own desires and likes alongside the wants of your toddlers, teens and spouse. Consolidating the ideas they have and the thrills they want to gain are various points that should be dealt upon for a vacation to be fruitful.
Here are some ideas you can consider when planning to go on a family vacation:
1.Why not go on a beach vacation? It is not easy to please all members of the family and resorts can be a good option. There are beaches where multitude of activities can be done like jet skiing, surfing, and cruising which you and your teens can enjoy. There are also resorts with kids’ pools and slides for your toddlers. Prioritize the enjoyment of the family but check on the safety of the place and the water specifically.
2.The family can also go on a cruise vacation. You can free yourself from planning and other activities because there are packages provided by ships and other cruise lines. All you have to do is choose among the packages and be present on the set date of your floating vacation. Cruise activities include spas, casinos and live entertainment for teens and adults. Youngsters are offered with kids’ activities so nobody is left bored and idle. Check on the medical facilities of the cruise lines to ensure your health while on the cruise.
3.If your family enjoys a country lifestyle, you can have a family ranch vacation. There are ranches which welcome people and offer vacation packages. There are those which are near rivers where you can do rafting and engage in a river trip. The family can also involve in ranch tour, join lessons about horseback riding and take care of horses and other animals such as cattle. A special set of activities for children are designed to get them busy while on the ranch.
4.Adventure vacation is not a bad idea either. Adventures suck as kayaking, sailing, hiking, canoeing, camping, hunting and a whole lot more can excite all the members of the family. Nature tripping is a good adventure to give you and your family fun and learning at the same time.
5.Theme parks can also be a good choice. You can choose Universal Studios which offer an array of incredible rides and attractions. Universal Studios is a theme park and movie studio in one. You can also tour and watch real working films and scenes from your much loved movies. Walt Disney also offers an Animal Kingdom Theme Park and a lot more. Children and adults alike can also enjoy the Disney resorts and other wonderful areas in the Walt Disney.
6.For holiday season, the family can try a snow vacation. Snow can make your vacation a lot different! There are numerous resorts in California, New Hampshire or Vermont which offers country skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, ice skating, sliding, ice climbing and other exciting activities. There are also schools accepting enrollees for ski lessons; or you can simply enjoy the snow by making snow man, angels, etc.
7.Volunteer vacations. Your family can try the unique but worthwhile volunteer work with helpful humanitarian and nature causes. There are global volunteer works which cater to those groups who wanted to engage in charitable projects. There are those located in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Costa Rica, Africa, and much much more. Projects vary from animal welfare, health and safety, education, community development, children’s issue, environment and nature or poverty. Be sure that family members all compromised with this kind of vacation because laborious work and sacrifice are involved here rather than relaxation.
There are several more ideas one family can think of while planning for their much awaited vacation. One family member differs with another so careful compromises and decision must be made to make sure that all will be satisfied and happy. A good vacation does not depend on its longevity; rather the measure is the quality of time spent with the family.

“Crusin’ on a Sunday afternoon” has taken on an entirely new meaning for so many around the world. I bet you’re wondering how these folks can afford to take cruises a couple of times a year to Mexico, the Bahamas and Hawaii, right? I bet you think that these people are rich, too. Well, maybe some of them are rich, but the majority of them earn a living just like the rest of us do. The big difference is that these folks know how to shop for discount cruises, and they’re doing it online.
Modern cruises aren’t what they used to be. Cruise ships of today are more like traveling resorts that get you from one port of call to another, wining and dining its passengers from dusk ’til dawn (and every time in between). Each newly sailing luxury ship needs to be bigger and better than its predecessors, leaving more and more passenger cabins to fill in the process. All you need to do is find the open cabins on the right ships to get onboard a discount cruise to Mexico, the Bahamas or Hawaii.
First things first, don’t even bother going to a travel agent or other in-person operation, for unless you’re a very good customer to them, they probably won’t tell you about the extra-cheap deals. Remember, travel is usually a commission-based business, so if you aren’t spending much cash, the agent doesn’t make much money. The best (and easiest) way to find discounted cruises is on the World Wide Web, where agents and website owners are dealing with a higher quantity of travelers, so they don’t need to make as much per purchase to make a living.
Next tip: even if you are choosing one cruise destination now, say for example Hawaii, don’t pick a website that only offers cruises to Hawaii and no place else. Sure, you may love the islands of the South Pacific and may want to travel there again one day, but the world is filled with interesting cruising destinations with oceans just waiting for you to set sail. Basically, don’t limit your own options before you’ve even cast off, because some options may offer more value than others.
Don’t forget about time and destination flexibility, as the more flexible your schedule is, the better deal you’re going to get. So even if your heart is set on Acapulco this time, you might be able to get a much better price on a cruise to the Bahamas. Instead of spending the extra money on your cruise, think about all of the extra shopping and land excursions you’ll be able to take if you stretch you become adaptable to the situation. After all, the world is a colossal place, so you’ll need to travel on a lot of cruise ships to see the entire planet.
