My family and I are going to Mexico for Spring Break in March next year. We are staying in a condo in Mazatlan. I asked a girl friend of mine to come with me and she was all excited about it. Today, on the other hand, she was telling me how people are telling her it is really dangerous down there right now. I am trying to tell her that, yes there are area’s in Mexico that are dangerous, but we are going to be no where near those areas and that where we are staying is actually a protected tourist area. Despite all this she is still nervous about it. I’ve also told her how my parents have been there before and there is no way we would be going if it wasn’t safe. I know she wants to go, she just needs to hear some good info to convince her that its okay. She’s a worry-wart, lol. What can I tell her to make her calm down?

Unfortunately experts are saying that no part of mexico has remained untouched by the drug cartel. My family has not had a bad experience down there recently but it just isn’t as safe.

But if you want to get her to go… don’t let her watch the news read the paper, better yet just put her in a bubble till march that’s sure to shield her from the truth.
