I was wondering if i am on probation and i have a felony can i travel to mexico? Als what are the procedures you have to go through?

If you will read your sanctions listed on your probation papers, it will state you may not leave the county nor state during probation without written permission of your PO. Even if the PO would agree to a "vacation", you could not cross international borders into another country while on a felony probationary case.

By all means, discuss the issue with your PO. Let him why you want to travel there and he will explain how the law works. Just remember to be polite while discussing this.

Best of luck and I hope this useful to you

I’m travelling to LA from Australia in October and would like to do a 4-5 day tour to Mexico. Ideally one that includes snorkeling.

Does anyone know any tours or have been on a great one that I should know about?

Thanks for your help.

That time of year, for snorkeling you are going to want to be on the Sea of Cortez or Cabo because the Pacific Ocean is pretty cold.

The Cabo San Lucas area is probably the best choice for someone visiting for the first time. You can get a place in the downtown/centro area and there will be plenty of vendors there who cater to the cruise ship visitors, and they will offer trips to quiet beaches, jet skis, snorkeling, fishing and other activities.

I am not one aware of one single "tour" but if you find a hotel or condo you can rent, they will be able to refer you to local vendors. But when I was there, just walking around, people could figure out that I was a tourist and started asking me if I wanted things. They are very industrious… they will tell you they can find what you want, and they find it!

I live in Baja and enjoy venturing out and finding a local, independent provider rather than a tourist specific supplier. It will be cheaper and if you engage them, you will have more fun.

I have no experience with this site, but after a quick search, it looked decent.

Other warm weather cities in Baja you might consider are La Paz or Loreto. Smaller… you will be in a less touristy environment, but lovely for warm water activities. Depends on what else is important to you.

Good Luck… I am sure you will have a great time.

hi! my husband and i are taking a cruise from Miami to Cozumel Mexico, we already plan on going on one of the tours through the cruise line once we get to Cozumel. But we don’t know how much money we should take we us. we don’t really drink alcohol but we would like to do the different activities the cruise line offers, like going to the spa! thanks!!!

It depends on what’s included on the cruise - is it all inclusive or do you have to pay for food/drink/entertainment? If all that’s covered, and you’re only worrying about spending money, I’d say a hundred bucks a day would be enough for each person, unless you plan on buying art or souveniers or anything like that. Cancun/Cozumel can be relatively expensive when it comes to shopping/eating/fun (it’s the richest part of mexico!). So…. no less than $100/day would be my advice.

How safe is it to travel to mexico? Places like Puerto Vallarta and Riveria Maya? The typical all-inclusives…….I noticed it’s really cheap right now to go and am hearing because they can’t get people to go due to all the violence and drug wars.

Are these places dangerous? Should I skip the idea of Mexico altogether until someone whips that place in order?

Stop reading the Enquirer! The Mayan is fine… and Puerta Vallarta is even safer, its full of Americans who live there all year! Trips are cheap because people are not flying from the H1N1 scare…. resorts are suffering, air travel is suffering… so they are trying to get some money by blowing trips out the sale door! Stay away from small operations though… stick to signature, transat, air canada…. the bigger guns because the smaller ones have been going bankrupt as of late…. sky service being one leaving people without and stranded.

Play del Carmen is great….. anywhere along the Mayan coast is fine……

I’ve tried all of the links through Google and had no luck. Trying to find one that would apply to a Mexico vacation. Thanks.

I’m an american citizen and i am going to travel from tijuana, mexico to la paz mexico, do i need a passport to travel by plane?

As of March 10th foreigners need a passport to go beyond the border zone
You will not be given the required FMT at the border or at the airport as of March 10th 2010.
Because Tijuana is in the border zone , technically it is an international flight for foreigners.

I want to be on the "hotel zone" and I had wanted to stay in the Carisa Y Palma Condos, BUT, seems like it’s all booked. When I went to Spain I found an apartment room for $500 (http://www.loquo.com/es_es) for a whole month. I am willing to share a place with other people like a "hostel" or dorm sort of thing, but I can’t seem to find anything for Mexico! I am looking where I can post on a forum "looking for a room or place for 4 people" can someone help me! OR if you are from Cancun can I stay with you? LOL!!

You can try this Link…

Hostel Moloch is a good option…. is not ocean view but is a nice place.
