I Love Mexican Vacations

Vacations in Mexico remain one of the best travel deals available.

I am interested in going to a five star, all inclusive, adult only and preferably not all honeymooners beach resort in the Caribbean or Mexico (the east side of Mexico). Does anyone have any suggestions or know a travel agency that can help me? I have done some research on the web, but I do not want to end up at a nudist colony or swingers place!

Well. since you seem to be a genuine person with a real need.. instead of these delusional 15 year old girls on here.. I’ll take you at your word and pass this on to you.

Look at the resorts on St. Lucia. It is arguably the most female friendly island in the Caribbean with it’s white and black sand beaches, the volcano, the rain forest and the best SPA in the Caribbean.. Not all the resorts are 5 star, but the ambiance makes up for it.

My family and I are looking into travelling to Mexico this winter. We are looking for resorts just wanted to know some suggestions. Looking for good food, 5 star, good drinks, pools and beach! hotels like Riu and Sandos let me know thanks :)
If you are going to drink and party stay in Cancun. If you are going to see Mexico and don`t think you are above the Mexico people stay in Playa Del Carmen in the Playacar neighborhood which is a short walk from town. And Mexicans are not hard of hearing, talking loud and slower will not help them understand them better. I will be there for Xmas again, the last think I want to run into is an American being rude to Mexicans. And Spanish ran resorts like the Rue pay the workers the least but they are nice resorts.

I’ve heard that if you don’t tip the waiters etc then they don’t serve you (fair enough I suppose) but how much do people give them and how often. Just the first round or each time as that could really work out expensive! We’ve not been on an AI hol before! Thanks

At all inclusive the tip is included but it is normally overlooked by management. But be discrete none the less as an employee can get in trouble accepting a tip. A tip here is a minimum of 10% as a waiter here makes about 4 dollars for a 10 hour work day. We never leave less than 15% if the service is good and most of the time more than 15%. At an all inclusive bar figure the drink charges back home and go from there. I usually tip the first round about a dollar a drink than every other round the same. At dinning I usually slide a tip to our waiter than leave a little more to be shared by the whole staff who worked the table. The maid a dollar a day per person and than more for extra service, ie the mini bar.
Allen should be here soon and he will know the prefect amount as he is an expert here on all inclusive hotels.

I am planning a trip for my birthday in the end of july. I wanted to go somewhere nice with a GREAT nightlife. I also wanted somewhere not too expensive because we are all still in college. I want somewhere with a nice beach and lots of fun. Any suggestions ..?

Use tripadvisor.com to check out resorts, you can search for them there and also read reviews of people who actually went. Read a number of reviews, though, some people can never be satisfied with a resort everyone else loves. The Negril area of Jamaica is one of the best known areas for nightlife, and if you want to drink their drinking age is 18. Even have nude areas on the beach if you really want to let it all hang out.

The island of Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the perpetually sunny Canary Islands, lying just off the west coast of Africa. Lanzarote is an island of volcanic origin like the other Canary Islands and has the worlds longest volcanic tunnel - the Atlantida Tunnel - which is over seven kilometres long!

Hotels of Lanzarote

One of the most nicest hotels in Lanzarote is the five star Dream Hotel Gran Castillo in Playa Blanca. This hotel doesn’t come cheap although it‘s not as expensive as some, but it really is a dream hotel with sea views, delicious food in classy restaurants, luxurious spas and exotic plants! Hotels in Lanzarote are generally quite traditional because of regulations about developments - so Lanzarote is a picturesque place to holiday! You can find cheap deals for accommodation at most of the resorts and still find that you have a top quality hotel.

Beaches of Lanzarote

The most popular and picturesque beach in Lanzarote is the Papagayo beach in the south of the island. The white sands are blended with the turquoise waters and the sun forever shines, warming the waters to the perfect temperature! The beach is favoured by nudists but don’t let that worry you - with the warm waters, by the end of the holiday you may be joining them! Lanzarote has lots of beaches worth lying on, an unusual mix of black sand and golden sand, so make sure you try one of each!

Eating Out

If you enjoy food, then you‘ll adore Lanzarote for it‘s selection of restaurants and cafes that sell a great deal of fabulous food. The restaurants here have a little bit of every culture - food from Europe, Spain, Japan, Mexico - you will always find something to suit everyone’s taste. Some of the top restaurants don’t come cheap but it’s worth the extra expense to try some Canarian delicacies.

Nightlife

Nightlife in Lanzarote may not be quite as loud or go on as long as nightlife in Tenerife but it certainly has a kick to it! Lanzarote has a lot of local bars dotted around where the locals go to drink - the atmosphere is always friendly and it‘s a good night out with a difference! For bright lights and karaoke, head to Puerto Del Carmen which is Lanzarote’s main resort for nights out.

Things to Do in Lanzarote

Lanzarote has no shortage of cheap and cheerful activities to keep you busy if you get sick of lying on a beach. Monuments, gardens and the fantastic lunar-like landscape of Timanfaya National Park all provide a good day out however if there is only one place you go to during your time in Lanzarote, then make sure it’s the Jameos Del Agua! These underground caves that are part of the La Cueva De Los Verdes system have a concert hall which has brilliant acoustics, a restaurant and an underwater lagoon that’s definitely worth making a big deal about!

For the more energetic amongst you, trekking, caving, cycling, golf, climbing and much more are available at most resorts, so make sure you pack your exercise clothes! Lanzarote has a bucket load of cheap water sports and activities to try out such as scuba diving, wind surfing, jet skiing, dolphin watching and even submarine trips!

Lanzarote is an island of startling beauty and great excitement. Here at Sunmaster we want to get you the cheapest deal around because we know that holidaying in Lanzarote will be an experience you’ll never forget!

When planning a trip or vacation in a tropical climate such as Mexico it would be a good idea to know when and where hurricanes occur. Hurricanes and more generally, tropical cyclones occur in seven distinct areas around the globe. Several hurricane formation basins are much livelier than others and manufacture many more tropical storms and hurricanes.

How Hurricanes Form

When comparing formation zones, some tropical cyclone basins have a greater duration and time frame in which tropical cyclones may occur during the year. How hurricanes form; most tropical cyclones form from a disturbance in the monsoon trough. However the north Atlantic basin is significantly different though, due mainly because most of these hurricanes form from easterly waves of which originate from Africa

Hurricane Season Forecast

The North Atlantic Ocean, hurricane season begins: June 1 through to November 30; and becoming more active in mid August through the latter part of October. Locations included in this region are the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

Hurricanes may also affect the southern and eastern U.S., the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, eastern Mexico, and eastern Canada.

The Eastern North Pacific Ocean, hurricane season begins: May 15 through to November 30. The Eastern North Pacific Ocean is known as the second most active region for tropical cyclones in the world. Included in this basin are the popular tourist destinations and resorts of western Mexico and Cabo San Lucas.

Pacific Hurricane Season

The Northwest Pacific Ocean, Typhoon season: Year round, and is the most active basin in the world. Most typhoons form July through November. Guam, the Philippines, southeast China, and Japan are all within this zone.

The Bay of Bengal or, Arabian Sea, harsh Cyclonic storm season: Early April through the end of December. This basin has a double maximum because of the monsoon through moving through at two different times of the year. Maximums occur from mid April through May and from mid September through mid December. India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar are all affected by these tropical cyclones.

The Southwest Pacific Ocean, mid October through May 1 is considered Severe Tropical Cyclone Season. These tropical cyclones may affect eastern Australia.

The Southeast Indian Ocean, mid October through May is also considered Severe Tropical Cyclone Season. These tropical cyclones may affect northern and western Australia. Mid January, and mid February through early March, this basin has a double maximum.

The Southwest Indian Ocean, October 15 through May 15, is Tropical Cyclone Season. These tropical cyclones may affect Madagascar and southeastern Africa. Mid January and mid February through early March has a double maximum.

If one is looking for the perfect getaway, one place always comes to mind – the Caribbean. Contrary to what most people think, the Caribbean is not a country, instead, it is composed of a group of island found in the Caribbean Sea. The east coast of Mexico also considered as a part of Caribbean especially Cancun, Cozumel and Mayan Riviera.

The Caribbean has been named as one of the top destinations for family destinations particularly because it offers everything that a family vacation should have – sun, sand, water, friendly people and activities for different ages. The area is a favorite among tourists because it enjoys great weather the whole year round and provides a breath of fresh air for people who live in the colder areas, more commonly known as the “snow birds”.

The Caribbean is composed of so many islands, and you only need to decide which island you should visit. Of course, each of these islands is unique and has its own history. Most of the island feature ruins of the communities of the original inhabitants in the island. As a matter of fact, the Mayan Riviera has ruins and archeological sites which dates as far back as the Mayan and a lot of these are breathtaking even to lay people.

A must see in the Caribbean is the island of Guadeloupe which consists of the Grande Terre and Basse Terre. The island is known as a melting pot of different cultures – Creole, African and French. Guadeloupe is also famous for its beautiful beaches and resorts, inlets and most especially its rum!

A visit to St. Thomas is also a treat and it famous especially to sailors and is considered as one of the yacht capitals in the world. Looking for a place where you can shop? St. Thomas is the answer to your problems. This should keep you busy for hours before you go back to your vacation homes in Caribbean. Of course, if you’re in St. Thomas, a visit to Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the island, is inevitable. Here, you can wine and dine in one of the many restaurants in the area before taking a stroll along the boardwalk. Of course if you want to stay up for the night, you can go to one of the many bars found near the coast.

The Barbados is also considered as one of the top Caribbean getaways because of its world class coral beaches, coconut plantations and tropical jungles. The Barbadians are also a wonderful set of people and not only friendly, but also accommodating and has a great sense of adventure. English is the first language in this area, making it one of the top choices for an exotic Caribbean adventure.

The Dominican Republic is a haven for inclusive resorts and is a favorite among tourists who area looking for not so pricey deals. When you visit here, it is a must that you go on a Jeep Safari and learn how to dance the Merengue.
