WE ARE LOOKING TO STAY AT A MEXICO RESORT FOR MY 21ST BIRTHDAY.. I WAS REALLY WANTING TO STAY AT A RESORT BY OR ON THE OCEAN. Blue blue waters being my top criterion in choosing a vacation spot, I related to you. So, in two words: Riviera Maya. Let’s break this down a bit… one of the best beaches is the world is Playa Maroma. However, most hotels there are very expensive, except the Catalonia Playa Maroma, however it’s a 3.5 star. But as a personal preference, my favorite area of the Riviera Maya, for turquoise waters, no rocks on the sea bottom, powdery white sand… tha would be the stretch of beach known as Playacar in the Playa del Carmen area. I’ve been to the Iberostar Tucan and I LOVED it. Hope this helps!
