Has Anyone Stayed at Cabarete Beach in the Dominican Republic?
Hi Folks, my wife & I are considering a vacation at the Dominican. We ran into some really nice condos for rent on Cabarete Beach, can someone tell me what the crowd is like there? We are older folks early 60’s and are looking for a bit more subdued crowd the less partiers the better. If you haven’t can you recommend some good places to rent a condo for a month. The Dominican seems to be much more affordable than Mexico, "By Far"! We of course prefer a super good beach. Thanks!
Caberete is great and the beach is good, but more for younger people, because there are a lot of disco´s and bars at the beach. If you need a good condo and a good beach, think about Puerto Plata, there you will find anything you need and for affordable prices. If you need more info and bookings, just contact platiniumservtour@yahoo they will gladly help you.

Cabarete is indeed a fantastic beach with wide sandy shores, and the water does not drop off deeply like some other places. It is a great place for older folks like myself. It is not a loud all nite party town like Sosua is. I strongly recommend you go. DR is a great value compared to Mex and other caribbean. The only time Caberete gets busy with young partys is during the windsurfing championships which occur once a year. There is local shopping and great food at open air cafes on the main street. The people are very friendly and it is safe for tourists. The only downside to the north coast is that the waves are often big, whereas the south coast is often calmer.
