(W) Loren Rhoads Morbid Curiosity was an underground magazine based in San Francisco that gained a devoted following for its collection of absurd, gross, and unusual tales - all true - from contributors around the country. The editor of the magazine, Loren Rhoads, has compiled the best stories from all ten issues (now out of print and in demand) for this anthology. Stories range from the outrageous - attending a black mass, fishing bodies out of San Francisco Bay, and making snuff films - to the more mundane - touring a museum of the dead in Mexico, tracking vampires through San Francisco, and growing up in the Mormon church. These are sometimes shocking, sometimes gruesome, but always fascinating stories from ordinary people about the darker side of life.
