I mean this is a huge bonus if you are planning to be active. I love beach palace and cancun palace. Food is good. Beach is very close to many party spots. Cancun palace is just 5 minutes furthur and the little bus goes by every 3 minutes. September is hurricane time but you never know when a hurricane might hit. I woudl book and get travel insurance for an extra 50 bucks just in case you neeed to reschedule. If you could go in october that woudl be better since hurricanes are gone by then!:) zip lining is awesome (included in palace), going to xel-ha is really cool too, there are little boats you can go out on a tour with in cancun and they bring you to the coral reef to go snorkling... going to chicinitza is an all day affair (two hours there and two back) but it is sooo cool!
