Do I need a canadian Passport to travel on a direct flight to Mexico?
My mom is traveling to mexico the end of febuary with her sisters, her sisters told her she did not need a passport to travel into mexico on a direct flight….Is this true? How about a flight that has a stop in the states do you need a passport as-well…Please help..thanks
If you are flying to Mexico from outside Mexico then you DO need a passport.
Direct flight, or 12 stop flights makes no diffrent, to leave and enter a country you MUST have a passport.

Actually, Canadian citizens CAN travel Directly to Mexico without a passport. See site below…fill in all the blanks and click for the info. then read VERY carefully everything on the page that pops up. If the flight stops in the U.S., a passport IS required because U.S. law is different than Canadian law. There is a great deal of misinformation out there about this…so you need to see the info for yourself. you can also call your airline and confirm this.

Charlie is correct. However, Canadian authorities recommend that Canadian citizens do use a passport. You will need a passport if you are connecting in the US.
