I Love Mexican Vacations
Vacations in Mexico remain one of the best travel deals available.
What is your reaction to this Mexico issues travel alert over new Arizona law?
Mexico’s government is warning its citizens about travel to Arizona because of a tough new immigration law there.
The travel alert from the Foreign Relations Department urges Mexicans in Arizona to "act with prudence and respect the framework of local laws."
It says that the law’s passage shows "an adverse political atmosphere for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors."
It says that once the law takes effect, foreigners can be detained if they fail to carry immigration documents. While enforcement details are not yet clear, the alert says "it should be assumed that any Mexican citizen could be bothered and questioned for no other reason at any moment."

Doesn’t this already in Mexico that non Mexican citizens will be
bothered and questioned for no other reason at any moment to see if their papers are in order ?

What happens when an American gets stopped in Mexico (with or) without papers? HAH! Pay the bribe or go to jail. Mexico complaining about Arizona is hypocritical on so many levels.
"act with prudence and respect the framework of local laws."
notice his cowardness i regards to our FEDERAL LAWS……
americans are truely seeing the source of these peoples lack of character when it is clearly demonstrated by its leaders.

heres my reaction.
BLLAHHAAHHHHHAHAHHAHGHGHGHHGAHAHGAHGHAGHAHGAHG!!!!!!!
is that what you were looking for
honestly i dont care.
EDIT:Americans are allowed into Mexico without a visa, just need a passport, as long as they are staying for less than 6 months. during that time if they decide they want to stay longer they can apply to get one of the FM visas, as long as they can prove they have a credit card, or at least 1000 dollars in their bank. so the likely hood of an American being without papers in Mexico is pertty much non existant.

Yes, you try to go over the Mexican border if you’re white and look like an Amer. tourist. They pratically treat you like a criminal. So I guess we’re just following Mexico’s lead.

It Is Giving Potential ILLEGAL ALIENS A Heads-Up
Informing Them That It Will Be Much More Difficult
To Blend Into The Surrounding Area
When They Arrive In The Great State Of Arizona
My Reaction Is : AWESOME !!!!!
Perhaps They Will Stay Home

Countries do that all the time. How many times has the US State Department issued travel alerts to Americans planning to travel to hostile territory? Any American who is insulted by this action by the Mexican government is a hypocrite.
Personally, I’m a Canadian, and the next time I plan to visit the US, I will make sure that I avoid Arizona. I feel it’s hostile territory, even when I visit the US completely legally.

I wish it were so–but the corruption in the lower 50 is abhorrent and drug dealers run the border and its officials.
Americans don’t need to travel to mexico anymore either.

I think the alert should apply to all of the US.

Exactly, this firestorm is not going to stop. It has awoken normal americans who suddenly are more aware of illegal people demanding rights.
Most people dont realize that the reason they dont have a job is because of illegals.

I think Arizona did the only thing they could. The borders are unsafe and they have the right to protect them.
Most of the legal Mexicans also applaud this new law. They applied and went through all the legal avenues to come to America.
Most countries have immigration laws. Our wonderful government in Washington has decided to overlook our U.S. laws and something needed to be done. Texas now wants to pass the same law as Arizona.
We can’t afford to pay for all of the benefits the illegals receive and still pay for our own citizens benefits. Our citizens have worked and paid taxes for years to receive these benefits that are passed out for free to the illegals.
They are also working jobs that a lot of American would be glad to have. A lot of the money that they earn is being sent back home instead of being spent here in America to help our economy.

I’m glad Arizona is finally doing something about this. I keep hearing people say they want a law that says "anybody hiring illegals should be sent to jail." Um- okay… Are they still gonna complain about racial profiling when police decide to arrest the people who hire illegals?
