I Love Mexican Vacations

Vacations in Mexico remain one of the best travel deals available.

where is good to travel in mexico on a weeks tour?

Looking to travel in Mexico for a week in two weeks time, want to know where is the best areas to go? and for cheap?

Hi there, it depends on what you want to see, and yes SOME parts of the country are extremely humid, but som others are dry, did you know there's a desert here? how humid can that be? haha.

Ok, for beaches and humidity :o) the most popular and really beautiful is the Riviera Maya which includes Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and the island of Cozumel. You can find white sand, blue ocean, and mayan ruins by the Caribbean.
Acapulco an old time favourite is on the Pacific coast, nice sunsets, golden beaches and good nightclubs. About 4 hrs I think, not sure, from Mexico city driving, on the way you can stop at Taxco a colonnial city on top of hills with cheap and beautiful silver.
Puerto Vallarta is on the Pacific also but to the north.

Big cities not humid at all. Mexico city lots of history, Teotihuacan ruins near by, aztecs ruins right at the city center. One of the biggest cities in the world, many cultural activities as well. All major flights arrive there.
Monterrey, 2 hrs away from the US border, an american flavor all over, modern city, extremely hot and dry.
Guadalajara, the 3rd most important city of the country, cosmopolita with beautiful and kind people. You can go to Puerto Vallarta from there, also near the Tequila fields and town.
Puebla 1.5 hrs southeast of Mexico city abour a million and a half inhab, colonnial city with beatiful churches, great food and ruins nearby Cholula.

But there are more places, why don't you yahoo search them? Mazatlan, Los Cabos, Veracruz, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato..

Drink bottled water, do not look clueless on the streets, don't eat from street vendors, bring something for an upset stomach, user your common sense for safety.
Hope you enjoy your trip!

I went to Peurto Vallarta and stayed in the middle of town. I used the local buses a lot, it cost about 10p a jouney and was great fun. At the back of the town is the valley where the opening shots for "Preditor" were filmed. The town itself can be seen in "Herbie goes bananas" One of my top three meals ever was eaten here and food from local vendors is both cheap and good. Stay away from the hotels, except to sleep!

Don't go to Mexico. The heat is as humid as anywhere in the world. It's not dry heat.. imagine England at 35c but imagine that and then quadrouple our humidity and thats what its like in Mexico.
