Can I cross the US border into Mexico for vacation under these circumstances?
I’m currently going through some legal issues that could put me in prison for a while. I heard all you need to get into Mexico is an ID and I’d like to go there one last time before my possible incarceration to see my grandmother. I’m just curious if they do some sort of background check at the border, because I just want to spend a weekend there. If anyone knows about some complication that might arise, please let me know.
You don’t need anything to enter Mexico, you do however need a passport or border crossing card to return to the US.

Can I cross the US border into Mexico for vacation under these circumstances?
