Is Mazatlan Mexico safe right now for vacations?
I want to go to Mazatlan Mexico with my boyfriend and his family over Thanksgiving break, but my parents are concerned that Mazatlan Mexico is not a safe place for me to go to. Is it a place that I could go to without them being all concerned?
take it from me yes it is safe i lived there 4 years and i am a white american never had a problem at all they are welcoming to americans and it is so beautiful there we lived in an all mexican neighborhood if you go and take a cab say no soy la tourista it means i am not a tourist and they wont overcharge you on the trip there are a lot of things to see and do hope all works out for you feel free to ask me anything you want to know about the town and i can tell you tourist things

I’m and American an I go there every year and as long as you stay in the main area’s of the city and not like in some random slum you’ll be fine.
I love going out there, it’s beautiful
don’t let local vendors rip you off with cheap thing that they try to sell for more then they’re worth lol
i recommend you going to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay (hotel), it’s absolutely stunning
have a nice trip :]

Sorry, but I don’t think so,. I’m mexican and the situation it´s not safe. The problems are not with the tourist, but is better no take a risk

Yes you will be safe there. i would be more worried about going to most cities in the USA. you. try
http://www.tripadvisor.com . its a website that deals with travel. go to mexico then forums, then Mazatlan. you can ask many questions there and get many responses from fellow travelers. once on the mazatlan page you can use the search feature and type in safety, you will see many responses from many people.

By all means go to Mazatlan.
My wife and I have been going since 1982. This year we will be there from November to April.
The people are wonderful!
